Day 1: Arrival and Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following the briefing, you will embark on an exhilarating 6-hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.  Queen Elizabeth is situated in the south western part of the country, a region that is undeniably captivating. Prepare to encounter stunning lakes, winding rivers, majestic mountains, lush forests, breathtaking national parks, and a variety of other remarkable landscapes. Day 2: Exciting game drive and thrilling boat cruise

The government believed they were safeguarding the forest for gorilla conservation initiatives, yet they overlooked the detrimental effects this decision would impose on a community that had thrived for millennia as hunters and gatherers. Many of the Batwa remained deeply connected to the forest, never fully embracing life beyond its embrace. They faced challenges such as emerging diseases, struggles with alcoholism, and the weight of chronic poverty. Additionally, they faced the challenge of coexisting with fierce neighbors they had long evaded. Many Batwa currently live as squatters on farms owned by the more progressive tribes. During your visit, the Batwa will captivate you with their traditional dances, songs, and tales from their rich history.
