As you navigate through the vibrant streets of Kigali, you will encounter bustling markets and inviting hotels on your way to the Gisozi Genocide Museum. A local guide at the site will take you through the museum, sharing the poignant stories of how millions of Rwandans, both young and old, lost their lives in 1994. The museum, established in 1999 and opened in 2004, serves as a powerful reminder of this history. A modest fee applies for each photo captured within the museum, while outside, you can snap away without any cost.
Later, explore the President’s Palace Museum in Remera, conveniently located near the Kanombe airport.
