Day 2: Embarking on a thrilling journey through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to encounter majestic gorillas

Following breakfast, you will embark on a drive to the Park Headquarters, where you will enjoy a packed lunch while receiving a briefing about the thrilling experience of gorilla trekking. Your guide will lead you through the essential Dos and Don’ts during your encounter with the mountain gorillas. After that, you will be taken to the starting point to embark on your journey into the forest, where you will be assigned a gorilla family to visit. The allocation of the gorilla family is based on your interests, fitness level, and age. Share your interests with your guide, and he will arrange for you to visit the gorilla family that captures your imagination before you embark on your trek into the forest. Keep in mind that gorilla trekking can be demanding, so a certain level of fitness is essential.

Gorilla trekking can last anywhere from 30 minutes to three quarters of the day, so it is essential to be ready for both possibilities. Your guide will share insights about the trees, birds, and various wildlife in the forest as you journey towards a remarkable family of gorillas.
