3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up at Kigali airport/hotel and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
To begin your trip, our guide from Adventure in the Wild Safaris will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in the morning. Following, the guide’s tour briefing, you will begin with a tour of Kigali, which will visit the famous Gisozi genocide memorial site, where you will discover how more than 300,000 people perished in 1994. After seeing the king’s palace, the local markets, and the remainder of Kigali, you will eat lunch and thereafter, you will start the two-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park. As you travel through the stunning hilly landscape, you will be reminded why Rwanda is known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills”. upon arrival, you will proceed and check in to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and afternoon Iby’iwacu cultural visit
You should be ready to go gorilla tracking in Rwanda after getting an early night’s sleep yesterday. the park warden will conduct the gorilla trekking briefing at Kinigi park headquarters in Musanze at 7:00 am. By this time, all hikers are required to be in the park and attend the briefing. There are many families available for a gorilla safari in Rwanda; choose one depending on fitness level. Accompanied by the ranger to start gorilla tracking in the forest. Even though gorilla trekking in Rwanda might be difficult, the opportunity to see mountain gorillas makes the effort worthwhile. once you have found them, you will spend one hour observing the mountain gorillas as they play and tumble about. In addition to being fun, mountain gorillas are intrigued about people who often approach them. Three-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trek: Pay attention to what your guide tells you, maintain composure, and avoid making abrupt moves.
After spending an hour with the mountain gorillas, return to the park headquarters where you will meet with your driver guide. Have lunch and relax at your hotel. In the evening, you will visit the Iby’iwacu traditional village in Musanze, which is close to the Volcanoes National Park. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

If you missed the city tour on day one, you can have it on this day before the transfer to the airport
