Day 1: Journey from Kigali to the enchanting Kibale Forest National Park

7 Days of exploration in Rwanda and UgandaRise with the sun and enjoy a hearty breakfast as you anticipate your exciting journey ahead from the hotel. Upon your arrival by plane, our company Guide will be eagerly awaiting to embark on the exciting journey to Kibale National Park. The adventure will span 5 to 6 hours, so be sure to embark on your journey early. As you journey, immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of Rwanda and Uganda. Be sure to have all your documents prepared, as they will be required at the Uganda Rwanda border crossing. A yellow fever card holds significant importance. We will stop for lunch at an exciting spot along our journey. The driver will make sure you arrive in plenty of time, allowing for a refreshing rest before the exciting Chimpanzee tracking adventure the following day.

Day 2: Embarking on a thrilling journey to track chimpanzees in the lush Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Rise with the dawn after a refreshing slumber and enjoy your morning meal. Your adventure begins as the company Guide arrives to whisk you away to the park offices for an exciting briefing. The briefing is conducted by a park guide and explores the exciting aspects of chimpanzee trekking on a safari in Uganda and Rwanda.The forest holds surprises, offering insights into the chimpanzee communities within the park and guiding you on how to interact with them. Chimpanzee trekking typically lasts from 3 to 5 hours. The experience differs from gorilla trekking as the chimps are much more agile and on the move. This suggests that you may need to pursue them at a rapid pace even after you have located them. A chimpanzee group is a lively scene, with conflicts among members happening all the time. Gorilla groups exhibit a remarkable sense of harmony, with the silverback gorilla holding a position of ultimate authority, often without the need to assert it overtly. The wonderful aspect of chimps is that locating them is simpler due to their lively vocalizations. Their sounds reach your ears long before they come into view. As I mentioned, chimp groups are more dynamic, and this can be even more thrilling than what you will encounter with gorillas.

After spending an hour watching the group, you will head back to your lodge for a delightful lunch and some well-deserved relaxation. Our Guide will embark on the 2-hour journey from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon. Once you’ve checked in, feel free to explore your lodge and its surroundings before settling in for the night.

Day 3: Exciting game drive – Thrilling boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel

This morning game drive invites you to witness the nocturnal animals returning to their dens after a night of hunting. Prepare to encounter leopards, hippos, hartebeests, lions, small primates, birds, and other lively creatures greeting the dawn. Consider enlisting a porter during the briefing time if your luggage is particularly heavy. Tracking gorillas can be a thrilling challenge based on where the family is located, but ultimately, the experience is rewarding beyond measure. Encountering mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is the pinnacle of wildlife adventures. Heed the guidance of the park guides and wardens, particularly when you come across the primates. Prepare for an exhilarating hour with the gorilla family. Pause to immerse yourself in the experience and capture the moments with photos or videos. You will be accompanied by a Guide and equipped with Rangers as you embark on an exciting journey into the forest to seek out the adorable monkeys. Golden monkeys are rare primates that inhabit the vibrant landscapes of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They thrive on bamboo shoots and a variety of lush vegetation. The most significant danger they face is from humans, yet Eagles stand as their true adversaries in the wild. Golden monkeys are incredibly lively and enjoy posing for flash photos, in contrast to gorillas. After a while exploring the forest, you will catch sight of the golden monkeys perched in the trees or foraging on the forest floor. Afterward, make your way back to your lodge to enjoy a hearty lunch and recharge for the next exciting chapter of your journey. Kigali city on an exhilarating Uganda Rwanda Safari: You will rise with the sun, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and set off on an exciting journey to Kigali. The journey lasts 3 hours, but you will be immersed in the stunning rolling hills of Rwanda’s countryside and the expansive tea plantations along the way. After enjoying lunch in Kigali, you will embark on an exciting tour of the city. The tour takes you to the Gisozi Genocide memorial site, the presidential palace museum, vibrant city markets, and charming gift shops where you can discover local crafts and arts.  The Kigali city tour lasts from one to two hours. After this exhilarating final tour of Rwanda, you were either dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport.
