To embark on the journey through Kibale. Kibale National Park offers an incredible opportunity to observe primates in their natural habitat, making it a top destination in Africa. Approximately 13 species can be encountered. Kibale boasts a vibrant population of around 1500 chimpanzees, with four communities fully accustomed to human presence. While in Kibale, explorers can also encounter a variety of mammals and birds. In Queen Elizabeth, certain wildlife, such as lions, embark on journeys to Kibale forest at specific times of the year. The Bigodi Wetlands Swamp lies at the park’s edge, offering thrilling opportunities for primate viewing and birdwatching. The park boasts a collection of crater lakes and stunning vistas of the Rwenzori mountains. Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to the incredible chimps of Kyambura Gorge, but what truly sets it apart is its stunning scenery and diverse landscape, where you can encounter tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards, among others. Queen Elizabeth boasts lush greenery year-round, offering breathtaking vistas that captivate nature enthusiasts, especially when compared to the Masai Mara and Serengeti. Experience the thrill of encountering all the park animals on a classic game drive or while gliding along the Kazinga Channel on a boat cruise.
The 7 days Uganda Rwanda tour also leads you to the breathtaking Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This national park attracts countless visitors, thanks to its remarkable population of 370 mountain gorillas. The park boasts 5 volcanoes, golden monkeys, hyenas, forest buffaloes, elephants, smaller primates, and a variety of birds. During your time at the park, you will have the chance to explore the Iby’iwacu Cultural Centre and the stunning Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. Day 2: Embarking on a thrilling journey to track chimpanzees in the lush Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Rise with the dawn after a refreshing slumber and enjoy your morning meal. Your adventure begins as the company Guide arrives to whisk you away to the park offices for an exciting briefing. The briefing is conducted by a park guide and explores the exciting aspects of chimpanzee trekking on a safari in Uganda and Rwanda. The forest holds surprises, offering insights into the chimpanzee communities within the park and guiding you on how to interact with them. Chimpanzee trekking typically lasts from 3 to 5 hours. The experience differs from gorilla trekking as the chimps are much more agile and on the move. This suggests that you may need to pursue them at a rapid pace even after you have located them. A chimpanzee group is a lively scene, with conflicts among members happening all the time. Gorilla groups exhibit a remarkable sense of harmony, with the silverback gorilla holding a position of ultimate authority, often without the need to assert it overtly. The wonderful aspect of chimps is that locating them is simpler due to their lively vocalizations. Their sounds reach your ears long before they come into view. As I mentioned, chimp groups are more dynamic, and this can be even more thrilling than what you will encounter with gorillas.
After spending an hour watching the group, you will head back to your lodge for a delightful lunch and some well-deserved relaxation. Our Guide will embark on the 2-hour journey from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon. Once you’ve checked in, feel free to explore your lodge and its surroundings before settling in for the night.

At 2:00 PM, the company guide will take you on an exciting journey to the Kazinga Channel for a thrilling boat cruise. The Kazinga Channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George.
