4 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Begin your journey with a pick-up and transfer to the breathtaking Volcanoes National Park.
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport on the first day of your 4-day Uganda Rwanda safari, our driver guide will greet you and provide an overview of the adventure ahead. Following this, you will embark on a brief city tour of Kigali, where you can explore significant sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kimironko Market, and various art centers, among others. Following the city tour, you will enjoy lunch before embarking on a thrilling journey to Volcanoes National Park, a drive that will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. As you arrive, you will settle into the lodge for an evening of dining and rest under the stars.
Day 2: Embark on an exhilarating journey to track golden monkeys, followed by a transfer to the breathtaking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Following a hearty breakfast on the second day of your Uganda Rwanda safari, you will grab a packed lunch and rendezvous with your driver guide for an exciting golden monkey briefing at the park headquarters. Following the briefing, you will embark on a trek through the forest in pursuit of the golden monkeys, a journey that can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on their whereabouts. While trekking, you will encounter various primates, and when you spot the golden monkeys, you will have the opportunity to spend an hour in their natural habitat. This allows you to observe them as they feed, play, leap through the trees, and capture stunning photos and videos.
Following your golden monkey trekking experience, you will rendezvous with your driver guide for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, traveling through the scenic Katuna border in Kabale or the picturesque Cyanika border in Kisoro. As you journey along, you will be captivated by breathtaking vistas of undulating hills, expansive farmlands, lush tea plantations, and serene crater lakes, among other wonders. As you step into Bwindi National Park, you will settle into the lodge for a delightful dinner and a night filled with anticipation.
Day 3: Embarking on an exhilarating journey to track gorillas in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following a hearty breakfast on the third day of your 4-day Uganda Rwanda safari, you will grab your lunch box and rendezvous with your driver guide. Together, you will head to the park headquarters for an exciting briefing on the rules, regulations, and what to expect during your gorilla trekking adventure. Following the briefing, you will be split into groups of eight, each assigned to a gorilla family for an exciting trek, accompanied by a park guide who is well-versed in the ways of the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Along the trek, you will encounter a variety of forest birds, other primates, and diverse plant and tree species, making for an exhilarating experience. Once the mountain gorillas are discovered, you will have the chance to spend one hour in their presence. This experience allows you to delve into their lifestyle, observe their behaviors and habits, capture stunning photographs, and witness their daily activities, all while creating unforgettable memories to share with those back home. Following an awe-inspiring experience with the gentle giants, you will make your way back to the park headquarters, where you will receive a certificate for your participation in gorilla trekking. Afterward, you will reunite with your guide to head back to the lodge for a relaxing dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 4: Setting off for Kigali
Following a leisurely breakfast on the final day of your 4-day Uganda Rwanda safari, you will check out of the lodge and rendezvous with your driver guide to embark on the journey back to Kigali, enjoying a delightful lunch along the way. Upon arrival, you will head to Kigali International Airport, where your driver guide will either drop you off for your departure flight or take you to any destination you prefer.
