Day 1: Touch down in Africa – Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe
Catch your first breathtaking glimpse of the Victoria Falls from above before landing at Victoria Falls airport, Zimbabwe. Upon your arrival, a representative from Hallmark Travel Planners will greet you and escort you to your accommodation – Azambezi River Lodge – where you can enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 2: Exciting Exploration of Victoria Falls
This morning after breakfast, you will embark on an exhilarating guided walking tour to the breathtaking Victoria Falls, traversing the enchanting spray-drenched rain forest filled with remarkable plants and vibrant birds. This is an essential experience when visiting Zimbabwe. The tour invites you on an exhilarating journey to capture and experience all the iconic and breathtaking sights of the fall, the Cataracts, and Livingstone’s statue.
Later, you will unwind on a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River, where you can spot an array of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and antelopes as they approach the river’s edge. Spend the night at Azambezi River Lodge or a comparable location.
Day 3: Exciting Explorations of Victoria Falls
No planned activities. Feel free to join any of the exciting excursions in and around Vic Falls. On this day, the morning invites exploration with exciting options in and around Victoria Falls, including Soar above the breathtaking Victoria Falls on a thrilling helicopter or microlight flight. It’s wise to secure your spot in advance, as they can fill up quickly.
Late afternoon embarkation for a sunset boat cruise aboard the African Queen on the Zambezi River. The African Queen is a stunning triple deck 70ft catamaran, adorned with exquisite Rhodesian Teak, Beech Wood, and elegant brass finishes. Upon reaching the Royal Landing, you are welcomed with a refreshing cocktail and the enchanting melodies of the Marimba Band, a local instrument that echoes the spirit of Africa. Day 4: Journey from Livingstone, Zambia to Nairobi, Kenya
Savor a delightful breakfast before embarking on your journey to Tanzania through Kilimanjaro Airport. Enjoy a morning of exploration before heading to the airport for your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Flights are available three times a week – on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Embark on a 4 hour and 30 minute journey through Harare, arriving in the vibrant city of Nairobi as the evening unfolds, around 2200 hours.
Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be greeted by a Hallmark Travel Planner escort who will take you to your hotel. Spend the night at Tamarind Tree Hotel Nairobi.
Day 5: A Serene Start Midday Journey to Masai Mara
Enjoy a leisurely morning in bed. Brunching into the day. Enjoy a delightful lunch at your hotel. Later, you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to the airport for an exciting afternoon flight to Maasai Mara. You touch down at the airstrip and are greeted by your guide from the safari camp. Embark on a thrilling game drive to the safari camp. Days 6-7: Exciting explorations in Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today you enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on your journey to Tanzania. Once you have navigated through customs and immigration, our friendly partners from the Tanzania office will be there to greet you, and you will embark on an exciting drive into the Serengeti Game Reserve. As you embark on your journey, the game drive will lead you to Serengeti Serena, where you will arrive around 1800 hours. Keep an eye out for the iconic African Big Five – Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino, and of course, Lion. Day 13: Journey from Karatu to Kilimanjaro

Consider embarking on an optional tour of Arusha town, where you can explore the Cultural Heritage gallery, browse through curio shops, and experience the Tanzanite Experience, before making your way to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight to Rwanda. Day 14: Exciting Morning Tour of Kigali City Afternoon journey to Kinigi
This morning after breakfast, embark on an exciting half-day tour to explore Rwanda’s largest and most vibrant city. Wander through the vibrant markets, discover the city’s key attractions, and immerse yourself in its rich cultural tapestry, a dynamic mix of French and Bantu influences. The tour will feature the profoundly impactful and thoughtfully crafted Gisozi Genocide Museum, a solemn resting place for over 250,000 Rwandans who lost their lives during the 1994 genocide.

Day 15: Embarking on a thrilling journey to encounter gorillas in Volcanoes National Park – Then Journey to Nairobi
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a drive to the park headquarters for a briefing, then set off on a trek through the rainforest to encounter the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat within Volcanoes National Park. Join in on an extraordinary journey and witness some of the last mountain gorillas on our planet, with nearly half of them residing in the enchanting forests of the Virunga mountains in central Africa.
Your journey begins once more in the lush foothills of the Virunga, providing breathtaking vistas that captivate the senses from every angle. Upon entering the national park, trekkers will find themselves enveloped in the enchanting embrace of the rain forest, vibrant with the calls of colorful birds, the playful chatter of golden monkeys, and the telltale signs of the mountains’ elusive buffalo and elephant.
As you catch a glimpse of the gorillas, you will immerse yourself in an enchanting hour, observing their daily routines of feeding, playing, resting, and nurturing their young.
