Day 1: Arrival and journey to the hotel in Kigali
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport on the first day of your 10-day journey through Rwanda’s gorillas and Tanzania’s wildlife, our driver guide will greet you warmly. They will provide an overview of your exciting adventure ahead before transferring you to your hotel in Kigali for dinner and a restful night.
Day 2: Journey to the Land of Volcanoes
On the second day of your 10-day Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast before meeting your driver guide for an exciting city tour in Kigali. You will have the opportunity to explore the Kigali genocide memorial center, Kimironko market, art centers, museums, and much more. Following the city tour, you will enjoy lunch before embarking on an exciting journey to Volcanoes National Park. The drive lasts around 2 to 3 hours, during which you will be treated to stunning views of rolling hills, charming homesteads, and captivating landscapes, among other sights. Upon arrival, you will settle into the lodge for dinner and a night of excitement.
Day 3: Embark on an exhilarating journey of gorilla trekking and immerse yourself in the vibrant Ibyi’wacu cultural tour.

Following a hearty breakfast on the third day of your 10-day adventure through Rwanda’s gorillas and Tanzania’s wildlife, you will grab your lunch box and rendezvous with your driver guide. Together, you will head to the park headquarters for an essential briefing on the rules, regulations, and what to expect during your gorilla trekking experience. Following the briefing, you will be split into groups of 8, with each group assigned to a specific gorilla family to explore, accompanied by a park guide who is well-versed in the trails of gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Along the trek, you will encounter a variety of bird species, other primates, and diverse plant and tree species, making for an exhilarating experience. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will have the chance to spend one hour in their presence. This experience allows you to delve into their lifestyle, observe their behaviors and habits, capture stunning photographs, and witness their daily activities, all while creating unforgettable memories to share with others back home.
Following an awe-inspiring experience with the gentle giants, you will make your way back to the starting point, where you will receive a certificate for your participation in gorilla trekking. Afterward, you will reunite with your guide to embark on an engaging Ibyi’wacu cultural tour. Here, you will have the opportunity to connect with the local community, delve into their culture and history, hear their ancient tales, visit their homesteads, and enjoy traditional performances, among other enriching experiences. After the cultural tour, you will embark on a drive back to the lodge for dinner and a night filled with possibilities.

Day 4: Embark on an exhilarating journey to encounter golden monkeys, followed by a transfer to the vibrant city of Kigali.
On the fourth day of your thrilling 10-day journey through Rwanda and Tanzania, following a hearty breakfast, you will gather with your driver guide for an exciting briefing on golden monkey trekking at the park headquarters. Following the briefing, your journey into the forest begins as you embark on a quest to find the golden monkeys. This trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours, depending on their whereabouts. Once you spot them, you will have the incredible opportunity to spend an hour in their natural habitat, observing their feeding, playful antics, and agile leaps among the tree branches. Capture these unforgettable moments through photos and videos to share with friends and family back home.
Following the Golden Monkey trekking experience, you will reconnect with your driver guide and head back to the lodge for a delightful lunch. Afterward, you will check out and meet your driver guide once more for the journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will settle into the hotel for an evening meal and a night’s rest.
Day 5: Setting off on the journey to Arusha
On the fifth day of your 10-day Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide for a transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight to Arusha. As soon as you arrive, our driver guide will greet you and take you to your hotel in Arusha, where you can enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.
Day 6: Journey to Serengeti National Park with an exciting game drive along the way
On the sixth day of your 10-day Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will enjoy breakfast, check out of the hotel, and meet your driver guide for a transfer to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, savor an en-route lunch while taking in breathtaking views of the highlands, picturesque scenery, and traditional homesteads. As you step into the park, your journey begins with an exciting game drive to the lodge, followed by a serene evening, a delightful dinner, and a cozy overnight stay.
Days 7 and 8: Exciting full-day game drives in Serengeti National Park, with the option of a thrilling hot air balloon ride.
Following a hearty breakfast on days 7 and 8 of your 10-day journey through Rwanda and Tanzania, your driver guide will be ready to whisk you away from the lodge to the northern Serengeti for an exhilarating game drive, a scenic ride lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours. Prepare to encounter magnificent creatures such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. You will also have the chance to explore the Mara River, where, if fortune smiles upon you, you might witness the thrilling Mara river crossing. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the great outdoors before embarking on an exhilarating game drive. Day 9: Journey to the Ngorongoro conservation area, exploring the stunning Ngorongoro crater.
Following breakfast on the ninth day of your 10-day journey through Rwanda’s gorillas and Tanzania’s wildlife, you will check out of the lodge and rendezvous with your driver guide for a transfer to the Ngorongoro conservation area. Upon arrival, you will embark on a drive to the Ngorongoro crater, where you will descend 600 meters into the crater for an exhilarating game drive. Here, you will have the chance to encounter a variety of wildlife, including buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, elephants, dik dik, lions, leopards, and hyenas. Additionally, you will be treated to views of various bird species, such as flamingos, among others. Following the crater drive, you will make your way to your lodge for an evening of dinner and rest.
Day 10: Setting off for Arusha
On the final day of your incredible 10-day journey through Rwanda’s gorillas and Tanzania’s wildlife, you will enjoy breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide for a transfer to Arusha, taking in the sights of animals along the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will take you to the airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any recommended location.
