Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

As you touch down at Kigali International Airport, our representative will be there to greet you. Following a friendly reception and a brief overview of the safari experience ahead, you will be taken to your hotel in Kigali.

Day 2: Explore the Vibrant Kigali City – Journey to the Majestic Volcanoes Park

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and embark on a journey to Kigali city for an exciting tour. The history of Kigali stretches back nearly a century, having been founded in 1907 as a German settlement. It officially became a city in 1962 when Rwanda gained its independence, taking over as the colonial seat of power from Butare.

On this city tour, you will explore the Kandt Museum, where the rich history of old Kigali and its craft pieces await you. You will also visit the genocide memorial site, gaining insights into Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times through the events of 1994. You will also discover the stories of other genocides and explore how Rwanda confronted that tragic history.

Enjoy a delightful lunch in Kigali before setting off on an exciting journey to Ruhengeri. The drive will take around 2.5 hours, leading you to the breathtaking Volcanoes National Park as the evening unfolds. arrive at your lodge for an evening meal and a night’s stay.

Day 3: Embark on an exhilarating journey to encounter gorillas – Evening drive back to Kigali

Rise with the sun for breakfast and set off to the park for an unforgettable experience with mountain gorilla trekking. You will start with a briefing at the park’s headquarters, where you will be divided into groups of eight and assigned a specific gorilla group to explore.

With the support of armed rangers and knowledgeable guides, you will embark on a hike through the lush forests of Volcanoes National Park in search of mountain gorillas. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, influenced by the gorillas’ movements and their location from the previous night. Once you encounter the gorillas, you will be captivated by their immense size, intrigued by their behaviors, and delighted by the sight of them grooming one another, along with the playful baby gorillas swinging from tree branches. Get ready to capture stunning photos! After an hour, you will make your way back to the park’s headquarters, where you will reunite with your driver and journey back to your lodge for a delightful lunch. After lunch, you will check out and embark on a drive back to Kigali, passing through the enchanting foothills of the volcanoes, alongside vibrant coffee, tea, and banana plantations. Upon your arrival in Kigali, you will settle into your lodge for a delightful dinner and a cozy overnight stay.

Day 4: Soar to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and embark on a journey to Kigali International Airport for your flight to Nairobi. Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a safari guide will greet you and take you to your hotel in Nairobi for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Journey from Nairobi to Amboseli

Upon your arrival at the park in the afternoon, you will settle in for lunch after checking into your lodge. Later, prepare for an exhilarating game drive where you will encounter magnificent sights, including large herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, elands, gazelles, and graceful giraffes, among others. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge for a delightful dinner and a cozy night ahead.

Day 6: An exhilarating full day game drive in Amboseli

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park for an exhilarating full day of game drives, both in the morning and afternoon, complete with a picnic lunch. Throughout this day, you will delve into the vast plains of Amboseli National Park, all while taking in the breathtaking sights of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa.

On the game drive, you will have the thrilling opportunity to encounter a variety of wildlife, including cape buffaloes, herds of elephants, hyrax, lesser kudus, giraffes, dik-dik, and wild dogs, among others. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive as you delve deeper into the wonders of the park. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge for a delightful dinner and a cozy night ahead.

As the sun sets, you will make your way back to your lodge for a delightful dinner and a cozy night ahead.

Day 10: Setting Off

After breakfast, you will embark on an exciting checkout from the park, enjoying a game drive along the way. A delightful lunch awaits you during your journey. Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
