Time + Tide Luwi Bush Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
To experience the complete essence of Africa
Located in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, Time + Tide Luwi Bush Camp exemplifies the secluded and rugged charm of the African environment. Luwi’s environmentally-conscious construction technique is amazing, and its enchanting location beneath mahogany trees provides an authentic and awe-inspiring bush experience.
Luwi is distinctively situated, being one of the few Luangwa camps positioned away from the banks of the Luangwa River. Adjacent to the camp is a permanent lagoon inhabited by substantial numbers of hippopotamuses and crocodiles. Luwi is one of the most captivating camps in Zambia, distinguished by its walking safaris and tracking activities for lions and wild dogs, with no nearby camps or roads. Walks can be enhanced by wildlife drives and upriver investigations.
The five luxury chalets have traditional grass and thatch roofing, along with polished mud flooring. This imparts the camp an authentic ‘wild’ ambiance, notwithstanding the opulent mattresses adorned with mosquito nets and en suite baths. The chalets, adorned with earthy hues, lead to a thatched bar area, while the shadow of mahogany trees offers a tranquil refuge for daily meals.
