Relax amidst the tambuti trees
Tambuti Lodge, suitably called, is encircled by a largely monoculture forest characteristic of the growth patterns of the tambuti tree. Situated within the 1,800-hectare Black Rhino Reserve, a private concession integrated into the north-western boundary of Pilanesberg National Park, it provides greater isolation than the primary area of the reserve while yet granting access to a comprehensive wildlife experience.
The Pilanesberg is among the most accessible Big Five safari destinations. The Kalahari encompasses 55,000 hectares, transitioning into the more humid Lowveld, and is home to nearly all wildlife species indigenous to South Africa, as well as around 300 distinct bird species. All of this is arranged around the unparalleled centerpiece – the 1,200-million-year-old volcanic crater spectacularly encompassing Mankwe Lake. Embark on wildlife drives and appreciate the magnificence of the pristine night skies during stargazing activities.
Tambuti Lodge’s opulent suites are tastefully crafted and feature outdoor showers and external kitchenettes. Each suite additionally features a private deck for observing enchanting avian life. Enjoy exquisite dinner either in the boma or within the luxurious dining room.
