Rosenhof Country House is an elegant and charming hotel located on the periphery of Oudtshoorn.  Given the arid and desolate surroundings, Rosenhof presents itself as a refreshing respite following an extensive journey.  The meticulously maintained grounds feature a Victorian design, with rosebushes dispersed around the gardens and along the pathways, which provide the hotel with its name – “Rosenhof,” translating to Rose House in Afrikaans.

The old Victorian Homestead houses the lounges, bar, and restaurants.  Traditional South African food is presented with gourmet sophistication and has garnered international recognition for Rosenhof.  A pervading sense of sophistication and luxury characterizes a wellness center that features a Jacuzzi, sauna, fully equipped gym, beauty clinic, and private art collection.  Unwind in any of the lounges, or retreat to the smoking room for an after-dinner cognac and a variety of cigars.
