The essence of the Maasai

Similar to other Porini Camps located throughout Kenya, Porini Amboseli Camp is a modest safari camp situated in a private conservancy, prioritizing the unadorned beauty of the environment.  This secluded resort lacks permanent infrastructure, consisting solely of safari tents positioned on a sandy clearing beneath acacia bushes.

Porini Amboseli Camp is situated in the Selenkay Conservancy, located on the northern boundary of Kenya’s Amboseli National Park.  The local Maasai community is actively engaged in the daily activities at Amboseli, allowing for a visit to the next hamlet where one can obtain insight into the collaborative connection between the indigenous population and the conservancy board.  wildlife drives occur in both the Selenkay Conservancy and Amboseli National Park, providing exceptional wildlife viewing while also allowing for safari walks and nocturnal drives.

 To promote environmental sustainability, the Amboseli facilities comprise nine solar-powered tents equipped with essential amenities: hot-bucket showers, wash basins, and flushing toilets.  All rooms include exceptionally comfortable double beds, rustic wood furnishings, and a shaded patio area with views of the adjacent plains and bushland.
