Tranquil Haven at Papaya Lake Lodge
The secluded and tranquil Papaya Lake Lodge provides expansive vistas of Lyantonde and Kifuruka Lakes in Uganda’s Great Crater Lakes area. This lodge features high-beam ceilings, warm wooden furnishings, and distinctive local crafts, providing cabins for guests to relax and appreciate the stunning grandeur of the extinct volcano lakes.
Conveniently situated between Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park, the resort provides opportunities for excursions to experience Uganda’s many ecosystems and its various flora and animals. Notable observations include chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys, and bushbuck species. In the afternoons, one may immerse oneself in the lodge’s pool and savor the sweeping vistas of undulating hills and lakes.
Nine private villas, nestled among trees and overlooking Lyantonde Lake, provide serene and opulent accommodations featuring warm oak floors and custom furnishings. Eight cottages have a king bed, a single bed, en-suite bathrooms, and an appealing verandah. One cottage features two stories, three bedrooms, a bathroom, a living area, and a big terrace.
