Nata Lodge : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information

Birdwatching paradise next to the Makgadikgadi Pans

Covering over 37,000km², the largest salt pan area in the world is part of what is called the Great Makgadikgadi.  Set on the border of these Botswanan pans, where the Nata River delta flows into the Sua Pan and pelicans and flamingos paint the shore a haze of pink, Nata Lodge is in a perfect spot strewn with Mokolwane palms.

Guests have easy access to this intersection leading to the Okavango, Chobe and Francistown districts conveniently located near the entrance of the Nata Sanctuary.  The lodge provides guided tours in open cars into the Nata Sanctuary, which is the breeding habitat for many water birds, so allowing close access to animal life and into birdwatching paradise.

Accommodation is 22 luxury thatched cottages built on stilters in natural African style, 10 custom-designed Meru tents on wooden decks with en-suite toilets and outdoor showers as well as the campsite that sleeps 150 guests against a backdrop of Botswanan sky.  The lodge’s swimming pool among lovely grounds will help you to cool off; the restaurant offers à la carte dining.
