Kwetsani Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information

The Okavango Delta in a Crusoe-inspired manner

Situated in the aquatic core of the 60,000ha Jao Concession within the Okavango Delta, the elevated tree-house tents of Kwetsani Camp overlook their island, surrounded by mangosteen, palm, and fig trees.  From this secluded location, visitors can investigate the numerous vibrant aspects of the Jewel of the Kalahari and discover its unique people.

A blend of water-based mokoro and boat trips, together with land-based day and night wildlife drives (contingent upon water levels), will immerse you in this realm of captivating canals and reeds.  Notable species to observe include the red lechwe, sitatunga antelope, and potentially the occasional otter, in addition to elephants, hippos, crocodiles, different plains wildlife, and their associated predators.  Concurrently, birdwatchers may include Pel’s fishing owl, wattled crane, and African skimmer in their inventory.

The camp features five opulent treehouse-style accommodations constructed from wood and canvas.  Chalets provide en-suite bathrooms, lounge areas, and patios nestled amid the verdant canopy.  The raised main area offers expansive vistas and captures the breeze flowing through the reeds; it features eating, lounge, and bar spaces for visitors.  A plunge pool provides respite during heated afternoons.
