Kwando Nxai Pan

Kwando Nxai Pan : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information

A vacation in the arid expanses of Botswana

Nxai Pan National Park, located in eastern Botswana, is situated north of the Maun-Nata road and borders Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to the north.  Nxai Pan is a 40-square-kilometer fossil lakebed located within the park, with Kwando Nxai Pan situated on its western perimeter.

The camp provides activities including as daily game drives, excursions to the renowned Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan, stargazing, and nature walks with Bushman trackers.  With the onset of rains, the population of plains wildlife increases, attracting predators including spotted hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, and jackals.  Buffalo and elephants are also observable.

The camp consists of nine specially designed tents, including one designated as a family room.  A lounge, dining room, and viewing balcony serve as excellent venues for congregating and exchanging narratives of the day’s exploits with other visitors.  The waterhole adjacent to the camp draws a diverse array of wildlife and avian species observable from the convenience of your verandah.  A swimming pool provides respite from the summer heat, while a library and curio shop present opportunities for leisurely afternoons.
