A pristine wilderness near Hwange

Jozibanini Tented Camp, situated in a secluded area of Zimbabwe’s 1.4-million-hectare Hwange National Park, appeals only to the most adventurous safari enthusiasts.  This unspoiled wilderness has remained virtually untouched for nearly two decades, creating a genuinely wild terrain that beckons genuine adventurers to investigate the fossilized sand dunes and valleys inside this section of the park.

This region of Hwange was historically inhabited by the San people, who coexisted with the local animals.  This section of the park is so isolated that it lacks Wi-Fi and cellphone reception, accessible only via a 6-hour road transfer from Imvelo’s other lodges or a 3-hour transfer from the Somalisa Airstrip.  This is an exceptionally genuine African safari.

Guests can observe game from the camp overlooking Jozibanini Pan, favored by elephants, and partake in typical game drives, bush walks, and the unconventional mountain bike safari.  This ‘fly camp type’ accommodation offers guests a selection of three twin or double-bedded tents situated on elevated wooden decks beneath shepherd’s bush and camelthorn trees.  Every tent is equipped with a private bucket shower, a flush toilet, and an open-topped verandah.
