In the north-eastern area of Pilanesberg National Park, an ancient amphitheatre is sculpted into the volcanic terrain and adorned with a verdant expanse of riverine woodland.  Dispersed inside this natural amphitheater are the accommodations of the five-star Ivory Tree Game Lodge, one of South Africa’s most expansive private game lodges.

Pilanesberg National Park is distinguished by its location in the transition zone between the arid Kalahari and the more humid Lowveld, leading to a distinctive amalgamation of animals and flora.  Observe brown hyenas, prancing springboks, and impalas during daily safaris in 10-seater open cars.  Ascend on a hot air balloon for an alternative viewpoint of the distinctive volcanic landscape.
