Ivory Safari Lodge : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
Where the colossal tuskers dominate
Large herds of elephants migrate seasonally from Botswana’s abundant feeding grounds to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe in pursuit of its waterhole, their sanctuary from the intense heat. Ivory Safari Lodge observes these gentle giants as they traverse the modest lodge in search of respite beneath its towering trees.
From the elusive plains game and darting birds to the formidable big cat carnivores and buffalo herds numbering up to 500, all wildlife converges at the lodge’s waterhole to quench their thirst. Nevertheless, all yield to the immense large-tusked bull elephants, sometimes referred to as “tuskers”. Observe the elephants immerse themselves in the water, expel water from their trunks, then engage in playful combat on the muddy banks. Encounter the thrilling excitement of proximity on walking safaris, or observe their movement across the plains during game drives.
The seven high Treehouse Rooms and two luxurious tented Presidential Suites are crafted to envelop visitors in seclusion and elegance. The thatched central dining room, well-stocked bar, and cozy library all offer views of the bustling waterhole and swimming pool, providing a refreshing escape from the noon heat.
