Fish River Lodge is situated at the precipice of the Fish River Canyon, offering unparalleled vistas of the striking canyon and its intriguing geological formations.  The lodge embodies the untamed beauty of its environment, with dry-packed stone walls of the chalets and expansive windows that illuminate the modern interior with natural light.

The lodge is located within the 45,000-hectare Canyon Nature Park and provides private hiking and 4×4 excursions.  Descend into the vast chasm where the Fish River winds through the privately-owned reserve.  Observe coarse limestone, delicate shales, and lustrous quartzite as you descend into the core of the valley.  Immerse yourself in refreshing waters, undertake a demanding ascent, or savor a sunset drink as the canyon’s hues transform with the diminishing light.

The 20 Chalets, harmonious and frequently monastic, are situated on the canyon’s edge and integrate seamlessly with their austere environment.  Each unit is equipped with spacious facilities, an outdoor shower, and a platform for sleeping beneath the sky.  Lunch is provided on the main lodge’s deck, whereas breakfast and candlelit evenings are conducted in the dining area.
