Dugong Beach Lodge, located within the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary on the southern Mozambican coastline, is an excellent destination for water sports aficionados.  The pristine beach and the temperate Indian Ocean invite visitors to partake in a vacation replete with activities including saltwater fly-fishing, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, ocean safaris, and more pursuits.

The adjacent nature reserve provides an opportunity to observe exquisite marine life in an almost pristine setting: venture to the shallow and deep-water reefs to encounter leatherback turtles, sailfish, and manta rays.  Seek out flamingos and pelicans during a nature drive in the reserve, or visit a nearby fishing village.

The 14 luxury chalets have hardwood flooring, en-suite bathrooms, mosquito netting, mini-bars, private patios, and outdoor showers.  Meals are provided daily on the main deck and in the dining room.  If you require respite from the beach, consider swimming in the lodge’s pool or relaxing with a film in the lounge.  Beverages can be savored at the bar, while the gazebo on the boardwalk jetty is perfect for sunset cocktails.
