The Desert Homestead is situated roughly 30 kilometers southeast of Sesriem, serving as an optimal base for exploring the dunes at Sossusvlei, visiting the nearby Sesriem Canyon, or traversing the Namib-Naukluft National Park.  In a verdant valley encircled by mountains, your typical view includes remote dunes of the Namibian desert.

The twenty rustic, thatched cottages are adequately distanced from one other and the main lodge, exuding appeal via their simplicity, including cool linens and warm wood.  Each features an own verandah with vistas of remote mountains.  The “Reiterhaus” (family house) is the accommodation of the Desert Homestead Lodge.  The suite is constructed, adorned, and equipped in the “Reiterhaus” style.  It features a bathroom and a distinct bedroom, making it ideal for families and small parties of up to four individuals.  The primary lodge features open-plan living spaces that provide outside dining options.  Enjoy a revitalizing swim in the pool or appreciate a sunrise or sunset from the terrace.  Additional amenities including a comfortable lounge, Internet connectivity, a souvenir shop, and a welcoming bar.
