Damaraland Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
Uncover the enchantment of Damaraland
The Torra Conservancy exemplifies the Damaraland landscape’s finest attributes: stark and bizarre environments illuminated by sunlight. Moreover, what is most advantageous? Isolation. Damaraland Camp, situated on the northern bank of the Huab River Valley, serves as an excellent base for exploring the intriguing surroundings of this region.
Guided excursions, game drives, and mountain bike adventures amidst ancient geological formations, rock art, and unique succulents offer the potential to observe desert-adapted elephants, ostriches, Hartmann’s Mountain zebras, springboks, gemsboks, and, if fortunate, the endangered black rhino. The location serves as a hub for birdwatching, featuring recorded species such as Rüppell’s korhaan, Monteiro’s hornbill, and Herero chat.
The camp comprises 10 thatched apartments arranged around the central boma, which features a fireplace, bar, and swimming pool. The apartments feature en-suite bathrooms, a sizable dressing room, and an expansive veranda with views of the ochre landscape and the pristine night sky filled with stars.
