Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
An unparalleled safari experience with Clive Stockil
Situated on a cliff’s edge with views of the Save River and unique thorny scrub, baobabs, and red sandstone formations of Gonarezhou National Park, Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge embodies tranquility. Visitors may see this untamed region and its undisturbed fauna alongside Clive Stockil, laureate of the Prince William Award, and his exceptional team of guides.
A clean and unblemished wilderness covering around 500,000 hectares serves as an unspoiled sanctuary for Gonarezhou’s diverse species, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and wild dogs. In the absence of the monotonous din of multiple safari vehicles and incessant camera shutter sounds, park visitors are unlikely to encounter another vehicle throughout their visit. The park’s beautiful cliffs and waterfalls will enchant both photographers and hikers.
Guests may observe the resident hippopotamus, elephant, and crocodile as they wade in the river below from the private balcony of their Luxury Rooms. The rooms accommodate two individuals and feature en-suite bathrooms, a lounge area, and a light, stylish décor. Guests may engage in wildlife drives, explore Chilo Cliffs, partake in birding, hike to Chivilia Falls, and visit Mahenye Village before savoring a well-deserved sundowner along the banks of the Save River.
