Chiawa Camp is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River and is regularly visited by local wildlife.  This camp, built in 1989 by the Cummings family, is undoubtedly one of the premier camps in Zambia and has received multiple prestigious accolades throughout the years, remaining under their ownership to this day.  An very efficient operation, it is challenging to identify any shortcomings in the arrangement.

Chiawa Camp provides one of the most comprehensive activity schedules among the camps in Lower Zambezi National Park, including wildlife drives, educational bush walks, paddling excursions, fishing trips, river safaris, and stargazing.  The activities are both interesting and enjoyable, facilitated by a staff of highly skilled guides.
