Treetop safari at Chamilandu Bushcamp
Under a forest of ebony trees and by the rippling waters of the Luangwa River stands Chamilandu Bushcamp. Located in the southern-most region of the South Luangwa National Park, guests have the opportunity to watch wildlife in their native habitat from the luxury of their treetop cabin.
Informative afternoon and nighttime game drives as well as fascinating guided bush walks are a must. Although children under the age of 12 are unable to join on bush walks, your hosts would joyfully take them on a private wildlife drive created exclusively for them. A hidden hide affords views of a lagoon behind camp and is the perfect place to have lunch or relax in a hammock to the soundtrack of nature.
Three thatched, stilts and elegantly decorated treehouse-style cottages are the accommodation of choice. Sleeping just six in total, Chamilandu exudes luxury. The phrase, ‘treehouse’, brings certain thoughts to mind but don’t worry, each is beautiful as the next with an en-suite bathroom with exquisite bird’s eye views. A thatched bar, lounge and dining room is a great spot to relax after a sensational day on safari.
