Discover and Investigate Makgadikgadi with Camp Kalahari

Camp Kalahari is situated on the periphery of a lake, adjacent to Makgadikgadi National Park, amidst the acacias and Mokolwane palms of Brown Hyaena Island.  This family-oriented camp combines traditional elements with contemporary amenities, allowing you to embrace your adventurous spirit.

Year-round activities encompass engagements with a colony of acclimated meerkats, game drives to observe elusive desert fauna like the brown hyena, excursions to Chapman’s Baobab, and treks with Zu/’hoasi bushmen.  Activities during the dry season encompass quad bike expeditions over the Makgadikgadi salt pans and astronomical observation.  The green season heralds the second-largest migration of African ungulates, predominantly zebras, along with their accompanying predators, resulting in exceptional game viewing experiences.  Equestrian safaris and quad bike excursions are also offered.

Eleven Meru-style tents are provided, each including four-poster beds and en-suite bathrooms equipped with flush toilets and both hot and cold water.  During intermissions, refresh in the pool, relax beneath the shaded pavilion, and savor exquisite meals in the main tent.
