The caldera of a long-extinct volcano encompasses the Pilanesberg National Park, which hosts more than 10,000 big animals, including the Big Five, and over 360 avian species.  Bakubung Game Lodge is a family-oriented safari resort located just two hours from the urban centers of Johannesburg and Pretoria, providing a convenient weekend getaway and complement to a South African itinerary.
