Safari and sunshine en route to St. Lucia and Sodwana
The Amakhosi Private Game Reserve features a vibrant combination of riverine marshes, savannah, and verdant highlands. Amakhosi Safari Lodge, situated adjacent to the Mkuze River within the wildlife sanctuary, offers a 5-star safari experience and serves as an ideal stopover for travelers heading to St Lucia, Sodwana, Mozambique, and Swaziland.
In addition to the Big 5, which can be observed on the 6,000-hectare reserve through guided walking safaris and game drives, the distinctive biodiversity has facilitated the proliferation of various other wildlife species. This region is excellent for birdwatching and for examining the reserve’s amphibian population’s affinity for the subtropical environment. Consequently, visitors may partake in frogging and birdwatching tours.
AmaKhosi hosts visitors in its six River Suites and two Honeymoon Suites. The former have floor-to-ceiling windows, private viewing decks, air conditioning, a minibar, an en suite bathroom, and tea/coffee amenities. The latter includes the additional amenities of a hammock, lounge, and bubble pool. Individuals seeking enhanced seclusion will appreciate the 4-bedroom IsiGodlo Private House.
