Major Quintet along the Bushman’s River
Amakhala Woodbury Tented Camp is a cozy three-star establishment, providing guests with a genuine outdoor experience in safari tents. The camp overlooks the historic floodplain of the Bushmans River, situated in the center of the Amakhala Game Reserve, a concealed gem of the Eastern Cape.
Zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, elands, rhinos, and elephants are attracted to the river’s fertile banks. Majestic fish eagles glide over. All these critters, among others, can be observed from the lodge’s main deck, with activities include two game drives daily. For a more intimate experience, guided walks, canoeing outings, river cruises, picnic lunches, and bird-watching excursions can be organized.
After a day of exploration, relax in one of Woodbury’s 10 en-suite tents. Each tent is situated on an elevated deck featuring a private balcony, and the interior includes either twin or king-sized beds, according on your request. Enjoy baked products and gourmet cuisine produced on-site and served outside on the main deck.
