Relax in Chitabe in the Okavango Delta.

Chitabe Camp is situated on a 22,000-hectare private concession on an island in the southeastern region of the Okavango Delta.  The concession is famous for its varied ecosystem and many animals, offering excellent chances for wildlife observation and birdwatching, while the camp provides comfortable accommodations for guests.

Chitabe provides a traditional terrestrial safari featuring morning and evening game drives, along with the opportunity for guided bushwalks. The diverse wildlife watching available includes formidable elephants and cape buffalo, towering giraffes, a variety of antelope species, accompanied by huge predators.  Visitors will be pleased to discover the region renowned for sightings of the uncommon and endangered African wild dog, where Botswana’s Wild Dog Research Project is conducted.

At the camp, eight expansive Meru-style tents featuring double beds and en-suite amenities, including both indoor and outdoor showers, are situated on raised decks and linked by wooden pathways.  The primary thatched area, which includes a lounge, tavern, and open-sided dining platform, is elevated, providing enchanting vistas, while a swimming pool offers refreshing respite from the heat.
