The optimal viewing of a Garden Route sunset occurs from the private wooden terraces extending from the suites at Elephant Hide of Knysna Guest Lodge.  Bathed in sunlight throughout the day, these comfortable havens provide a desirable refuge in the evening following a day of exploration in Knysna, adjacent beaches, nature trails, and the enchanting Knysna Forest.

The woodlands of Knysna have historically been recognized as the clandestine habitat of the Knysna elephant.  Visitors can engage closely with these gentle giants at the Knysna Elephant Park or traverse nature trails in the wild to attempt to observe one of these elusive creatures independently.  The vibrant town is replete with coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants, while its lagoon is a preferred locale for water sports and fishing.

Guests may select accommodations in the four-sleeper family suite or in the Executive, Fynbos, Lagoon, and Birds Eye suites.  Each unit is equipped with underfloor heating, iPod docking stations, television, DVD player, climate control, minibar, and a viewing terrace.  Immerse yourself in the lodge’s infinity pool or savor a light meal on the front terrace.
