Namib Outpost : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
Namib Outpost: The final waypoint prior to Sesriem
Situated in the foothills of a gently sloping mountain and near to the Namib Sand Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site, Namib Outpost provides sweeping and remarkable vistas of the desolate and arid terrain of the Namib Desert, the oldest desert globally. Traverse the terrain on horseback or experience an indelible aerial perspective from a hot air balloon.
The Namib Desert, spanning over 81,000 km², is said to possess more endemic species than any other desert globally. The region contains some of the largest dunes globally, and its westernmost tip extends 2,000 km along the Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
Each hut at the Namib Outpost includes individual covered sundecks, mosquito netting, air-conditioning, freezers, coffee machines, safes, and en-suite bathrooms. The contemporary design integrates the exterior environment, while the premium unit features windowsill seating, floor-to-ceiling windows, and is distanced from other structures to guarantee optimal seclusion. The primary lodge offers cell phone connectivity, vehicular amenities, laundry services, a swimming pool, a sun deck, and shaded spaces.
