Private concession along the Zambezi River

At the confluence of Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia, the formidable Zambezi River flows, accompanied by the alluring Imbabala Safari Lodge situated along its banks.  The resort was constructed in the isolation of a private national park concession in Matetsi, providing renowned and abundant game viewing opportunities.

The avian and wildlife observations at Impala are exceptional and abundant, attributed to the habitat and species convergence from the adjacent Okavango Delta.  Game tracking takes place during morning, afternoon, and evening game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles.  Walking safaris and tiger fishing expeditions can be arranged in advance.  The 5,000-acre concession adjoins the Chobe Forest Reserve, renowned for its substantial elephant population.  Navigating the Zambezi River by boat provides guests with unique access to aquatic ecosystems.

Each of the nine stone and thatched chalets is distinctively adorned and superbly situated, including expansive verandahs that provide panoramic vistas of the Zambezi River.  High-quality meals are savored al fresco or in the open-fronted dining area, while the swimming pool provides a space for relaxation after a safari.
