Kanana Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
Raised encampment in the floodplains of the Delta
The Kanana Camp is situated within the private Kanana concession in the Okavango Delta, where woodlands and seasonal floodplains converge. The camp’s activities are contingent upon the annual floods, resulting in experiences that are as diverse as the remarkable surroundings.
Situated at the brink of a perennial waterway, the camp serves as an excellent vantage point to explore the marvels of the Delta. The yearly floods provide a water-based safari option in lieu of the wildlife drives available at the camp during the dry season. Experience motorboat excursions and mokoro journeys through this inundated paradise and observe the splendid avian spectacle at the adjacent heronry.
At specific periods of the year, visitors can observe the water levels visibly ascending from the eight Tented Chalets, elevated on teak decks. The Chalets provide en-suite bathrooms and three-quarter twin beds equipped with mosquito netting. The primary lounge and dining space have been designed around a large strangler fig tree, featuring a bar and seating arrangements.
