The Big Five and five ecosystems in picturesque Lalibela
Situated in the ecologically abundant and malaria-free Lalibela Game Reserve, Lalibela Lentaba Lodge invites you to experience remarkable wildlife diversity while enjoying your stay at their elegantly furnished lodge. The reserve, prominently situated on a hill, spans 10,500 hectares over the valley, with a nearby waterhole. This reserve, situated about an hour from Port Elizabeth on the way to Grahamstown along the N2, is exclusively accessible to its guests.
The Lalibela Game Reserve encompasses five ecosystems and hosts the Big Five, along with cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, and several other species, both large and small. Commence bi-daily game drives in the morning and evening, coinciding with periods of heightened wildlife activity. At the lodge, game viewing persists, whether from the poolside loungers, your chalet’s private viewing deck, or during an al fresco meal in the open boma overlooking a waterhole illuminated after dark.
The traditional African decor, embellished with geometric patterns and warm wooden finishes, enhances the lodge’s grandeur, which provides secluded and tranquil views of valleys from five Classic chalets and five Luxury chalets. Two observation decks, along with an indoor and outdoor lounge, offer ample opportunities for relaxation and socialization throughout the day, while African decor and three fires contribute to the overall ambiance.
