Located between two undulating hills, Madikwe Safari Lodge is positioned in the center of the diversified and malaria-free 76,000-hectare Madikwe Game Reserve, one of South Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuaries.  It overlooks meadows abundant with games, while the illustrious Marico River carves a serpentine verdant strip across the golden terrain.

Madikwe offers not just the Big Five but also cheetahs and African wild dogs for game-viewing.  During morning or afternoon game drives, guests can anticipate observing a diverse array of animals, including mountain reedbuck, oryx, sable, eland, zebra, and up to 350 kinds of birds.  Game drives are conducted in open game-viewing vehicles and guided by expert rangers, providing a premier interpretative experience of the wilderness.

The accommodation comprises 20 Deluxe Suites, each equipped with cozy living spaces and outdoor lounging on the spacious covered decks that lead to the alluring private plunge pools.  The bedrooms have circular fireplaces, expansive dressing spaces with mini-bars, and enormous bathrooms equipped with dual hand basins, substantial bathtubs, indoor and outdoor showers, and private facilities.  Numerous fireplaces are available both indoors and outdoors, equipped with pizza ovens for an enjoyable and distinctive dining experience.
