Exceptional wildlife observation at the threshold of South Luangwa National Park

Mfuwe Lodge is located in the most abundant wildlife region of South Luangwa National Park, regarded as one of the premier destinations in Africa for walking safaris.  The lodge’s tranquil allure and desirable environment render it an ideal location for exceptional game viewing and rejuvenation.

Situated within the park, within a five-minute drive from the main entrance, the lodge’s appeal is immediately apparent.  Under a canopy of ebony and mahogany, eighteen air-conditioned chalets are situated along the banks of two lagoons, where a continuous array of wildlife will captivate you while you relax on the open deck or swim in the pool.  The spacious interior of the lodge elegantly enhances its natural environment.  This area of the park is distinguished for its remarkable game population.  Giraffes, hippos, buffalo, antelope, and crocodiles frequently frequent the lagoon at Mfuwe Lodge, while in November, local elephants often traverse the lobby, attracted by a nearby wild mango tree.

A central lodge with an open-plan design and 18 cabins are situated along the shores of the lagoon.  The center lodge features a spacious lounge, dining room, deck, and bar where visitors gather to enjoy chilled beverages, see wildlife in the adjacent lagoon, or refresh themselves in the pristine swimming pool.  The Chalets offer vistas of the lagoons from private covered verandas, while the elegantly designed bathrooms may open to the outdoors, showcasing all of Mfuwe’s splendors.  Five chalets offer increased room, featuring an elevated sleeping area and a more expansive lounge.
