7-Day Luxury All-Inclusive Epic Safari Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at the airport, our company driver/guide will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have some time to relax and explore the town or just rest up and the lodge as you prepare for the adventures a head.
Arusha is a busy city an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travelers pass through here.
Accommodation: Gran Melia Arusha(Luxury)
Meals: Dinner
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Your safari guide will pick you up early morning from your hotel after breakfast. This morning, you will travel to Tarangire National Park. The transit journey takes around two and a half hours on decent paved roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the sole source of water for animals in the area during the dry season. The park is well-known for its elephant families, which often congregate along the river. You could also observe giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeest. Predators such as lions and leopards follow these animals carefully. Tarangire has the highest number of breeding bird species in the world. Here, you may witness big and old Baobab trees. Some of them are reported to have lived for almost a millennium.
Lunch will be served at a picnic area within the park. Following your game drive, you will go to your lodging near the park.
Accommodation options: Maramboi Tented Lodge (luxury)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Manyara National Park, which is tiny yet interesting. Everything here is on a different scale. It is both small (one of Africa’s smallest parks) and massive (the Great Rift Escarpment towering above Lake Manyara’s western border). The park’s namesake is a small Salt Lake. It spans a significant section of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and providing habitat for thousands of wading birds. In the park’s dense evergreen forest, you may witness baboons and elephants, as well as tree-climbing lions, which have become well-known across Africa.
After a busy day within the park, you will take a short drive to your accommodation in Karatu.
Accommodation options: Kitela Lodge (Luxury)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will travel into the colder areas of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be an opportunity to see the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater. You will next travel via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti, arriving at the southern end of the park.
The Serengeti is incredibly amazing. It is well-known for its broad open grasslands, which provide superb animal viewing opportunities. While it is rich in species, the yearly Great Migration is undoubtedly its most well-known feature. Wildebeest, zebra, and antelope migrate in a yearly rhythm in search of new grazing grounds. The migration may occur annually.
Accommodation: Nyota Luxury Camp(luxury)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and Dinner
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
This whole day is reserved for wildlife drives in the Serengeti. The Serengeti is home to a plethora of species, including antelope, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. In addition to the spectacular vistas, you are likely to see predators including as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Depending on where the Great Migration occurs, you may be able to enjoy this natural beauty outside of the Central area. It is a genuinely life-changing event.
Accommodation: Nyota Luxury Camp
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, travel from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater.
When you first visit Ngorongoro Crater, it seems like a lost world. Hidden behind the sheer volcanic cliffs lies a natural environment with wide grassland, patches of acacia forest, and shimmering lakes and wetlands. Two to three million years ago, a massive volcano burst and fell on itself, forming the crater.
The trip down into the crater is an experience in and of itself, and once on the crater floor, you are rapidly surrounded by vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater offers the greatest possibility of sighting the endangered black rhino, which may sometimes be seen on the open grasslands.
After a full afternoon inside the crater, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay in Kitela.
Accommodation: Kitela Lodge (Luxury)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 7: Karatu to Arusha
Today, you will be driven to your final destination e.g. Arusha Town, Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport. Timings are dependent on your onward travel plans. We hope you have enjoyed your adventure with Lion King.
Meal plan: Lunch and dinner
